back when i had my 03gt, i just had the sct tuner. was as simple as can be. since they dont make anything like that for my 88, the guy that i will be using to dyno my car also burns chips for these cars for $200 bucks. is this what i want and is it a good price? i know this will sound dumb but where does this chip go and what all will he put on it? im getting ready to install my turbo kit so i would imagine that will be a crap load of stuff on there from retarding timing to what ever else. thanks

they install a chip from what ever brand tuner they uses (sct, diablo sport, etc.) and it going into the stock computer. As long as your not running massive injectors the stock ecu should be able to take care of what your doing. usually after 60# injectors they suggest going to an aftermarket ecu. 200 bucks sounds reasonable I paid 500 for the tune and dyno time, more then once. Now its just 125 an hr for dyno time but thats gonna be gone soon that I have a chassis dyno for personal use.
