I got flowmaster 40 series, and i was talking to my friend and he mentioned doing dumps on it/ has anyone done this if so do they like it? pros and cons? any feedback would be great

 

as in turndowns? yes i have them and like them. or do you mean cutouts? people have a lot of different meanings to dumps.

 

like cutting off the pipe right after the muffler and getting tips the turn towards the ground

 

well for a stock or near stock car it will hurt some low end. also if youre a clean freak and live in a dirty area you will constantly blow dust around. some areas dont allow it to be legal.

as for sound its total nirvana

 

okay so turn downs, i have them yes.. i love the sound and look, but it does blow up a lot of dust on my car.

 

Ya well you gotta think, it's like hooking two air compressor nozzles on the bottom of your car lol. It'll definentally blow dust and stuff when you are in one spot, it won't be bad when you are moving though, I think that you should do it.

 

But this is gonna effect my low end power?

 

I had them on my 95 and put the tail pipes back on cuz it was so f#ckin loud. Actually, my main complaint was the drone on the freeway. Cuz when I had to drive home with a headache after a long day at work, well, you can imagine. But afterwords, I kinda missed it. I might go back and do it again.

 

i had them on my coupe, dont get em, tke my word for it. it will be cool at first then they will suck!
