You can get a custom cam with a higher lobe seperation to get that lump you want.

 

why is it all the young people want a really mean sounding car? im 17 and i dont want my car to sound really mean but i want it to scream, i have a lunati cam and it dose not sound that mean at ide its hard to tell it from stock but you can catch the lobe seperation in it if you really listen, but it makes a lot more power then the stock cam, so its more along the lines of a sleeper, that is what you want. not something that idles really rough and dose not run good, that is nothing to brag about.

 

well see i never said that all i wanted was a car that sounds mean but has no go......you assumed that....i just am tryin to figure out whic cam i should buy and when

 

some people just care about looks and sound i got a buddy that is scared of his car so he pulled the built motor out put a stocker back in with pipes and a big cam just for the sound i call him a retard but different folks different strokes i guess

 

take off ur altornator. that will give u a good 15 hp.

 

get you a b cam it will sound good, also get you a 3.73 or a 4.10 gear. it will run much better. go for it. good luck.
