I drive a 1994 5.0</P>


Headers, 3:73, Cold Air kit, full exhaust with cats.</P>


When I acclerate, I notice the oil pressure will drop drastically during accelaration....then the check engine light will come on, there is an odd noise also at high rpm coming from the engine sounds almost like a crackling....any ideas?</P>

 

your going to need to check your oil level. if it is low the oil will shoot back to the rear sump and the oil pump will be moving no oil. which could be causing your problems
