just about have it removed to replace my injectors. my question is to i have to remove the throttle body also cause the throttle body cable is in the way. i already removed the 4 nuts over the bolts that secure the tb to the manifold cause thats what it looked like the haynes manual was wanting me to do but just wanted to get a second opinion...
no dont take the TB off, thats just another gasket you're going to have to buy. undo the cable and sensor connectors and its done.
do you think the gasket will be ok since i already broke the nuts loose? its still on there like concrete. where is the best place to disconnect the cable? can i fu%$ the cable up at all?
No just put the tb nuts back on it`ll be fine, just disconnect the cable from the tb, (2 bolts and 2 snap on linkages!) and move it out of the way, then remove the plenum and remove the 4 rail bolts and pull the injectors out! if the car has been ran recent drain the fuel lines thru the schrader vlv down behind the alt! (looks like a vlv stem on a wheel)
