Default 88 lx upper intake manifold

just about have it removed to replace my injectors. my question is to i have to remove the throttle body also cause the throttle body cable is in the way. i already removed the 4 nuts over the bolts that secure the tb to the manifold cause thats what it looked like the haynes manual was wanting me to do but just wanted to get a second opinion...

Yes more out of the way the easier the job! you dont have to break the gasket just remove sensor plugs and throttle cable!

No just put the tb nuts back on it`ll be fine, just disconnect the cable from the tb, (2 bolts and 2 snap on linkages!) and move it out of the way, then remove the plenum and remove the 4 rail bolts and pull the injectors out! if the car has been ran recent drain the fuel lines thru the schrader vlv down behind the alt! (looks like a vlv stem on a wheel)

Is this an auto? I can only think of the kick down cable remaining. That one is usually hard. Apply a little heat and it will come out.
