is it a stock fuel pressure regulator?

If so there could be something wrong with it. slightly ruptured or something. Mine sits at 42lbs with the vaccum hose off it.

Yes usually a stock car dosent like over 40psi, when you put the vac line back on with it running dose it drop the pressure atleast 3lbs, it should drop to about 5 less than with the hose off, the hose off simulates the vaccum coming off the engine under throttle and that is where you get your raise in fuel pressure, if the pressure is too high it will have black ex smoke and smell like gas! if your stock regulator is bad then buy a adjustable aftermarket reg and set it to about 40 with the line off, then you`ll be fine!

my car ran like sh&t even spraying it if it was over or under 40lbs, dont know why, if it wasnt on 40lbs n/a or spraying it ran like crap!

i`d get a good one from the start, i like the aeromotive brand, there about 100$ but there good and last, they attatch with allen head bolts from the bottom of the rail on your yr, there not bad just time consuming! fox regs are 3 bolts and sn are only 2 bolts and bolt down on the top of the rail!

you can get a bbk for like 65$ but i havent used one of those so idk how they are!

ok on the cali version being mass air factory! you got a good one then lol! SD sucks azz!
