Default Kill Switch??

Ok so I want to put a hidden kill switch in my car but what wire should I put the switch in series with? I want it to prevent my car from being hot wired or jump started. I hear too many stories of nice Mustangs getting jacked and never seen again.

depends on what you want the switch to cut off/kill. Ignition, fuel? You could just pop out your fuel relay when you leave the car

I want a kill switch that will prevent any possibility of my car getting stolen in my driveway, parking lot, etc.... Whatever will do this is what I want to do.

a determined/smart thief will just use a tow truck lol, otherwise you can pop the coil-to-distributor wire, or install it to the fuel pump relay under your seat.

the switch to the fuel pump relay is probably the best idea since it is under the seat

my 1990 5.0 has some sort of security thing on it that requires you to hold a little computer chip thing up to the dash in front of the key for a second (something has been put behind the dash that works with it) and wait for a beep before the car will start. the chip thing is on the keychain. it was in the car when i bought it and im not real sure who makes them or how much it costs or anything but maybe something to look into

This is impossible. All kill switches and alarms do is deter theft. No matter what line of defense you put in place there still is a possiblity.

Just make it harder for them to steal and a kill switch will do that.

Interupt the fuel pump relay which is under the driver's side seat. Interupt the starter relay. Interupt the ignition. Or just install an alarm. Many of them have kill switches built in.

Could put in a kill switch between the column and the starter solenoid. But that would make the car sound like it is not trying to turn over (Because it wouldn't be). My vote is a relay with a switch at the coil.

This way the theif would still hear the fuel pump turn on (I would listen for that if I was a theif)

You might be able to hear them trying to turn over the motor at night....

A quick inspection under the hood would show the plug wires untouched and you could easily hide the relay out of sight on quick inspection.

I used to unplug the two wire harness on coil in winter since i don't lock it, and wouldn't be driving it for a couple months.
