I was seeing if anyone knew if there were any intake and exhaust gaskets that had a bigger port on them to use to gasket match port the GT40's.

Because with the stock ones, there really isnt much porting you can do with the stock gaskets. Just seeing if anyone knew about a bigger port on the intake and exhaust gaskets you could use.

 

Fel Pro 1262 intake gasker Fel Pro1487 exhaust gasket. There is bunch of gaskets these are bit bigger than stock. You need to look up the size that matches you heads. Bubba

 

I havent ported my heads yet, so would these gaskets work for GT40 heads?

 

1262's will not work...why ??? there will never be enough port area left to open them that wide on the gt-40/cobra lower...trust me, I have a ported to the max lower cobra/gt-40 and the fel pro 1250 is what you need, I laid the 1262 over it and ports were to large for a gt-40

 

How small are those ports? Buy some heads with more fow-bigger ports.

 

Ok I have a Edelbrock upper and lower and the GT40's. Will the Felpro 1250 be a good gasket to port match both of those?

Also, would you happen to know a Felpro part number for some 1 5/8 header gaskets?

 

fel-pro 1250's for intake and fel pro 1415's for exhaust iirc.
