C&L maf causing idle issues with BBK CAI

RE: C&L maf causing idle issues with BBK CAI
the meter isnt the problem, its the intake. i dont know how you mean clocking the meter, its non adjustable. and whoever was talking about pegging the stock MAF, the gain from going from a bigger MAF is better airflow as the stockers are tiny, it has nothing to do with pegging them.

i know cases where ppl do peg them and have to upgrade to larger ones. usually when injectors are to small. you can **** the mAF by not using the stock holder and just spining it

Im currently in the process of finishing my car up right now and i dont have the BBK cai filter and that chrome connector piece attached, the one thats bettween the filter and maf i only have the piece connecting the maf to the TB( i havent been driving the car just running the engine and tuning and fixing a few minor things) and im still getting the idle problems So i dont think it has to do with the bends in the BBK cai.

it needs a filter to slow down some of the airflow
it needs a filter to slow down some of the airflow
I know i havent been driving the car just running it... i was just saying that its not the bends in the bbk cai thats making it idle funny.

may not be for you but other ppl have the issues of the bend. i dont know why it would matter but some how it does. why not put the stock box on and see how it runs. and put a filter on it cause it needs the air slowd down some, open MAF will suck in to much air. this is even with it idling

Well, it doesn't need to "slow" the air down, it needs to make it less turbulent, straight it out. But what I plan on doing, once I convert to Mass air flow, is to run a C&L true flow pipe and meter with the stock box and a K&N filter.
