Default Slow electrical???

I have an 88 gt. All of my electrical seems to work, its just really slow. Such as when i hit my brakes the lights come on, but only after about thirty seconds, also my windows seem pretty weak when you roll them up. My gauges only work above idle, my heat gauge doesnt work at all. How could i fix this, new alternator? Also my gauge lights worked before i took the dash apart to fix the speedo, now they dont work, what plug or switch did i miss.

how old it the battery and the alt? Underdrive pullies?

As he said check or better yet replace your grounds. At the minimum take the ground off from the battery to the chassis(you can see it righat the battery) off and take 5 mins with some sand paper to clean the connections.

That's strange. U/d pulleys will not cause problems unless your alt is already a failboat.
