Default serious problem that needs serious help

so ive got a 93 mustang gt the radio just randomly stopped working. and all fuses check out to be fine i was told from several people there is a constant power and another power source from else where that is operated basically by a switch. the car operates as normal only the radio does not work. if i connect the radio to the constant everything works fine. but the radio does not turn off. also in addition the dinger when i have the keys in the ignition does not work nad the dome light is out. when i open the door. now i am not sure what kind of problem i have going on but i would love to have it fixed soon and im going to a car show over next weekend and vacation and its no fun driving without a radio...

i wont be able to check the computer much so if you could either call me or repost. much appreciated. 717-629-5410

Take a voltmeter and check the wires to see if they are getting power.

This should help more than anything

Here is one for fuse 6 and 11. Looks like number 297 is the one to look at.

I think you need to sell the car, you are doomed.

buy an aftermarket cd player and run your own wires. Its easy you have power and ground, a yellow constant to keep ur memory then you have 4 speakers and 2 wires per speaker, 11 wires and ur done

well i found a new problem wondering if it could possibly be linked to all of the others my power mirrors also do not work. i asked around to local mechanics and i was told behind the ignition is a electronic peice that connects on the opposite end of the tumbler they said if that goes bad that may be the problem. the car runs and drives fine. other then the couple of things that arent working properly.

Your dome light and dinger are on the same constat circuit as the radio, and I am willing to bet your cig lighter does not work. You said you checked the fuses, do you mean you looked up in the manual which two you thought were for the radio or did you pull and check every fuse? IF you did not check every fuse then go out right now and spend the 2 mins it takes to phisically pull the fuse and look at it and I bet you will find a fuse that is listing with nothing to do with the radio that is blown.

There're over rated I don't have one in my 84, and I hardly ever listen to it in the 04.
