Remove or block the pipe coming from your exhaust and the one coming off the heads

The purpose of the air pump is to feed fresh air to the cats, so they can function. Cats with no air pump is a bad thing.

I turned mine into a idle pulley. took the back plate off took a hammer and chisel and knocked the impellers out of it. and now its just a idle pulley. also if anyone tries this make sure you dont damage the bearings and get all the graphit out of the two slots where the blades go though the slots.

Rmodel belt size differs for every car.... i use a 70.3inh belt, a 77 inch would be way to big for most 5.0's

im going through that problem right now on my 90 5.0, the 77" is to big, and a 75" is way to small, so ill be trying a 76" today.

Ya, i dont have ac so I had to be very picky on the belt as it was rubbing against at the tensioner.
