Default charging problem

I have a 92 GT 5.0

it had a dead battery so I bought a new one. then the battery wasn't recharging so I took my alt. to advance auto and they said I need a new one so I bought one of those too. now its still not charging. I purchased new connectors and will install them on Monday, but does anyone know anything I should check? Thank you

he has a 92. relay is on the starter, not the fender.

you will find the fusable link about 12-18 inches away from the battery, on the large cable that runs to the alt.

I woul start simple and double check all your power connections. Make sure they are tight and that you can't move them if you give them a good pull/tug.

Also check all of your fuses. Pull the d plug off the alt (the regulator plug) and make sure that you are getting the 12 volts from the light green/red wire. If its not sending its 12 volts it will not charge either. The power comes from your instrument cluster to the alt just for your reference.

The wire runs underneath the batt. tray so I pulled the batt. and tray and I still cant find the fusible link. I even purchased a haynes repair manual for extra help. I assume the link would be extra covered due to the underhood heat, but I dont wanna split the entire wire open if I dont need to

A quick test of Ohms should show whether the circuit is open or not. I'm not sure what to expect for a reading, as that cable is sure to be fairly long, but it shouldn't read Infinite or Open.
