Rims rubbing Struts

Rims rubbing Struts
I recently got a 1990 lx. It has a tubular K member, tubular A-arms and kyb struts. It also has the 17 inch mach 1 rims. The problem is when I turn the wheel all the way to the left or all teh way to the right, the inside of the top of the rim is rubbin on the strut. Has anyone had this problem or know how to solve it.

no, depends on your entire set up. however if you are experiencing rubbing...your rims/tire size/ suspension doesnt allow you enough clearance. either change your set up or get wheel spacers. cheapest alternative is wheel spacers and hopefully it provide you enough room to turn your wheels lock to lock. without pictures or additional info about your set up its hard to give you specific advice.

i know. picture. saying whats wrong doesnt display whats going on. with that size of tire you shouldnt be having rubbing, in my experience. something is a miss. are they shortened A arms? i've run 245's up front before without rubbing...so something is a miss. whats your rim size? 17 by what?
have you had an alignment? are your ball joints and tie rods good?

No, you won't be able to turn the wheels "all the way" but you can't now either and your rims are rubbing the a-arms. This is really the only way to stop the rubbing with your size wheel combo. 1990 models were designed for 16x7 max wheel size although other sizes fit with the need for modifications like rack spacers.
