A programmer would be for an OBD II car of which you don't have. Plus as stated your mods do not warrent a tune.

don't be offended new guy, but just to clarrify, no tune for now, when you have the full gammat of heads, cam, intake, injectors, bigger MAF, headers, and so on, then a tune will be worth the money, but right now its not

when you do need one, don't order it. go to a shop and put her on the dyno.it's the only way to do it IMO. i ordered an sct 4 bank over the phone it sucked. put it on the dyno with the guy writing the program and gained 120 hp.i have a pretty restricted set up but still ran a 12.82 first time outwith a stock stall and aod. i thank the tech and the dyno for that.

Lets put it this way OP. I know a couple setups that have fully build top ends with superchargers on them that are running on the stock a9l with NO issues and run great. Yes a dyno tune would make it run better but the point is that you can go a LONG way before you EVER need a chip. Mail order chips are a waste of money. If you do get one though you might as well get the turbonator for better airflow.............

Also don't think just the intake you have is really helping you that much.

Well there is no "best" really. There are many combos that can be done with many different heads. It all depends on what you want to do with the car and how much money you have. AFR and Trick Flow are the 2 top brands though when it comes to heads. The best cam is a custom ground cam that is built around the rest of your motor. The cam is the last thing you order pretty much.

I see a lot of ads with companys selling tuners along with intakes for the newer mustangs. I can see how the OP is confused, obviously new to the aftermarket (as am I)
