Default EGR Issues w/ Codes

Code 332 "Insufficient EGR flow detected" had prompted me to remove the EGR to make sure the passages were clear. I replaced the vacuum lines coming off the intake manifold going to the rubber junction, and the line going from the rubber junction to the EGR. Also, if I apply vacuum to the EGR with my lungs the idle will dip slightly then return to normal. I thought that the idle should be effected more than that...No?

Now I have KOEO codes 332 and 334"EGR close valve voltage high."

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO PULL ENOUGH VACCUM THROUGH your lungs all the way through the small vaccum line, tried it many a time, use a vaccum pump, anyway, you need to test the evr selonoid to see if it is opening when commanded by the ecm, simply put a tee into the vaccum line to egr valve , run the koer and during the egr portion of the koer test you should briefly see a significant rise and then quick drop on the vaccum gauge when egr is on then off, or simply remove the evr selonoid and apply 12v and a ground to it and see if it clicks and the port switched from closed to open

^ Thanks, mjr.

Where could I find the EVR? Following the vacuum lines from the rubber junction, they seem to go into the fender on the passenger side.

^ Sorry for the lack of clarity. I had no luck locating the EVR.

Also, if I apply vacuum to the EGR directly from the intake manifold at idle, it runs rough. So at this point, I have a bad EVR or a vacuum issue between the rubber junction and the EVR?

As stated earlier in this thread...the EVR is inside inner fender on passenger side.(remove black plastic cover inside fender) Follow the hoses. Ther should be a cap that is removable on EVR that has small foam filter. Cleaning it can sometimes make it work.

I appreciate the help. Are you talking about removing the wheel well liner?
