transmisson problems

Default transmisson problems

today i pulled out of a parking lot and when i went to accelerate my transmission made a kind of bang sound and first gear was gone so is second and reverse when i put it in gear it just makes a winding noise its a T5 in a 94 cobra any help would be great thanks.

Check your fluid to see if it is low. Also smell it, if it smells funny it’s more than likely burnt and needs changed along with a new filter. If that does not fix the problem you need to rebuild your tranny. Good luck.

muzzy he said T-5. It isn't a automatic. Pull trans out then have a look see inside.

Guys , come on, checking fluid at this point is pointless, bubba is right, pull the tranny.... the damage is done, heck tonight I hammered mine in second and just before I went to shift to third at close to 7k I heard a bang and the car nosed over , now like the op I lost all gears and it bangs internally, now do you think I'm gonna bother checking fluid....nope, but hey I sure had fun racing the supercharged cobra, or at least I did until my tranny went kaboom!!!!
