Default Help please

I replaced the Dizzy wires and plugs on my car it has an Edelbrock 650 on it and while I was driving today it has started a crazy miss. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. It is a 302 bored 30 with a e303 cam. Has 3.5 pounds of fuel pressure.

Check for vaccum leaks did not find any also have put a new intake gasket on it. I think it is a fuel problem just curious. I have heard that the fuel pick up and pumps go bad in these fox bodies, could this be causing it to run rough and miss? Thanks again

Thank you, I'll give it a shot. I checked them at the plugs I will double check on the cap.

Checked and all the wires and they are all on nice and tight. This is so strange.

+1

double check the firing order, and look for a burned boot on a header and also a crossed wire that might be firing wrong

Not enough fuel pressure. Should be 6-8 pounds of pressure.

Exactly what I was about to say. They edelbrocks say not to use more than 6psi but I ran mine with 10psi for the longest time in the 83 because I had the return line blocked on my fuel pump since i didn't have a return line routed yet. I would spend the $25 and get a new fuel pump.

The edelbrock is decently easy to tune. Just pick up a tuning kit and it will come with a book to explain it for you. Granted they always tend to smell rich from what I have found.

thanks, I will increase the fuel pressure. It has a regulator on it with a gauge.
