Question Phantom Charging issues

My 88 GT decided a week ago to stop charging thu battery. i figured it was thu battery being old, so i replaced it. no luck, still thu same problem. so i checked thee alternator and replaced it and both plugs that go to it. i know i wired it rite, because thu problem seemed to be fixed. but now its not charging again! is there a place where these 5.0s tend to short out?

there's a fusible link in the 2 black wires that run to the battery, a bit after they splice into 1 wire. I believe its a 100amp fuse
