87-93 Front rotors on 84
I'm doing a 5 lug swap on my 1984 gt350. And I want to have the variety of brakes and wheels as the 87+ do.
I'm doing a rear end swap to a 9inch so that part is all figured out.
What i'm gonna do is buy a brand new brake system from master cylinder, brake booster, front and rear brakes and brake lines.
I heard you can used parts from a 87-93 to change the front spindles or whatever to a pre-86 and you can use brakes made for the 87+.
Any help be appreciated.

To you things for a 87-93 you have to change the spindles. Mustang rotors are 4 lug but you can use SVO rotors or Lincoln Mark VII rotors to swap to a 5 lug setup. With those though you do have a limited wheel selection.
Now if you want to swap over using 94-04 stuff you will need unbolt the spindle at the ball joint and use everything up to the hard brake line that is mounted on the body. So, spindle, rotor, caliper, pads, soft brake lines, and then you will also need an adapter for the passenger side to bolt the SN soft line to the fox hard line.
The best thing to do is get a 94/95 spindle then get the 99-04 calipers. The spindle design is better for the fox and the calipers are PBR dual piston from the factory and you will need to do a little grinding on the spindle to make them fit. Nothing major though.
Upon assembly you will need a couple 5/8 hardened washers to go between the spindle and nut to bring it up to the hole in the ball joint for the cotter pin.
