Default constant speed issue

I am having a problem after new cam install. Idle seems to be fine. Took car down the road and accellaration is good, but when I get to a steady speed, in any gear, it feels like i have a surge/miss. This goes away when I get back in the throttle.

If anyone has any suggestions for a fix they would be appreciated.

could be related to an EGR/EVP problem. If your check engine light pops on and off during the steady speed, it most likely is.

The engine light is not coming on. Rechecked my timing and all seems well. Good idle and good acceleration, just surging when trying to hold a steady RPM/speed only when driving. Thanks for your input.

Even moreso now that you said only while driving, its almost certainly an EGR/EVP problem. Carbon buildup on the EVP pintle causes the ECM to think the EGR is open wider than it is, causing the hiccup in steady speed that you are feeling.
