Default B303 replacement

Thinking of replacing the B303 cam that came in the GT40 crate motor that I installed in my '65. Went EFI with Explorer intake, 24# injectors, Pro-M MAF, Accufab TB with IAC bypass plate. The car starts right up and pulls pretty hard above 3000 rpm and gets decent mileage.

That said, I do not like the sort of weak, almost hunting idle at times and the throttle is not exactly the snappiest thing in the world. This car is mostly a few times a month weekend cruiser that I'd probably appreciate a bit more with a more street friendly cam that feels a little better at lower RPM than the B303. I could leave the cam as is and it would be fine, however, if swapping it is going to make a dramatic improvement in drive-ability, I'm all for it. FWIW, 2k miles on the engine, no vacuum leaks that I can tell, 13" of HG at idle and stock A9L computer.

If you're still with me, anybody have a cam recommendation that would better suit my needs? Is there anything other than the cam that I'd need other than gaskets?

Thanks for the input!

I ran a custom, not because all the hype people give them but because I wanted a good idle but also wanted a cam that could stuff as much cylinder filling at the proper time, which is what I got, A HIGH LIFT LIGHT DURATION CAM, NO OTS WAS even close to offering me that, and I love the cam, it sounds good as well as it performs

The B303 cam is fairly mild. It should make good power off idle - pretty close to stock. And then make more than stock above 2,500-3,000'ish. In a stock engine, it should run just fine. It sounds like you have a tuning issue. I don't think changing the cam would make you happy.
