maybe youll put a standard copper core plug in your new engine after you figure out that im NOT talking out my *** here.

I know now about the copper lug, and I did put a set of autolites in, however nothing changed, I gapped them to o.o52 as Haynes book told me. I cant fined any air leaks or vacuum leaks. I will look at the ECT and fuel filter tomorrow. Could I have an air leak on the underside of my lower intake?

try cleaning your maf, with that set up you should be running 38 39 fuel pressure, which you are not far off. just hit your maf with some maf cleaner which you can find at pep boys kreggan or AUTO ZONE, clean that real good. good luck

Why is everyone that works at Autozone a retard? Does this count for ALL Autozone stores? And have you ever thought about maybe theres some members here who have kids with disabilities??????

OP - You can check the ECT with a DVOM so there should be no reason to take it out. As the temperature of the coolant increases, the resistance should increase or decrease depending on if you have a NTC or PTC style ECT.
Also, id also take the advice on the plugs and go with the Autolites or Motorcrafts.

Whats the fuel pressure at idle?
