Its more likely that your motor mounts were damaged when the transmission was removed.

Especially considering you say the vibration is worse with a load.

Have them check or atleast ask if the Pilot Bearing was good, Had that issue while back, My shift **** would vibrate like krazy, so did everything else but not too bad!!

I believe the pilot bearing was included in the clutch kit. And after some more driving I retract that it only does it under load. It seems to be the worst if I take it over 4k and go to shift, then it gets really bad but when the rpms go back down it goes away.

i had a 302, with wrong imballence flywheel,
actually, lol, it was the wrong crank for the flywheel and ballencer,
and it would only vibrate at certain RPM, up around 4000 to 5000 RPM,
twist it higher under a load, it would shake itself all over.

deffinetly double check the flywheel!!!!

yah the guys at advance auto and the such, havent a clue about
SBF ballence differnces,
they just sold you a 302 flywheel,

dont feel bad, during a windsor swap, the machine shop i had doing
the work, ordered an 11inch HAYES aluminum flywheel,
$450 bux, had it all ballenced up with the whole rotating assembly,
then realized it was an 11", and woudlnt fit the bellhousing,
SOoooo ended up spending a ton more on lakewood housing and forks and
clutches and pivot *****, this was before hydraulic release was easily fitted,

if the motor wasnt assembled, i woudla bought a new flywheel,
but once ballenced, you cant put different flywheels on her,
has to be respun and drilled and ballenced,
