How old is the gauge & what brand? Why did he not bring it back to the shop that worked on it? MJR would there be any oil psi with out the plugs?

mine had decent pressure, just after a hard run I'd hear brief valvetrain clatter until the lifters pumped up again....if one pops out, you'd still have pressure just may be a tad low...you'd ahve to do a driving test and test it under load and see what happens, I'd verify with a mech gauge, not factory gauge

its not a factory guage.... the kicker is the shop refuses to look at it because they don't do any "internal motor work."
