Default Raised Stall Question

The stall on my tranny was raised and someone told me to be at cruising speed and then hammer it and then when power hits the wheels thats how high my stall well i did that and its about 3200-3300, what kinda stalls do you guys use, i was told i would like this stall but now i cant raise from a roll and it really sucs

why can't you race from a roll?

i use a 2800 but it looks up when i hit third.

this is what hapens when you don't match the stall right with your engine.......2500 is right for a near stock engine...

my dad picked it out and hes a good mechanic and drag racer i would rather have like a 2600-2700

well if your dad picked it out for you then hes not as good as he claims. i ran the stall in my sig on a stock motor and had no issues with it. and with a stout combo i only went up to a 3200 stall now. my old stall was 2800 to 3200. it seen about 2800 when the tranny was in good shape. if your flashing to about 3300 on a stock motor youre just wasting power and energy

ok i got some facts straight now, my dad didnt pick it the tranny place did, they thought it would be the best for my application because i do drag racing

well then sorry about the dad coment but the tranny shop is full of crap then. on stock motor if its flashing at 3300 its past peak torque and doesnt do you any good

yea thats wut i was thinkin from a stop light it works ok, but not from a roll it sucs really bad

also roll racing is for manuals

autos and big stalls dont go good together
