Well i got the driver side header off and I'm putting the new one in but I'm getting really frustrated. My h pipe is sticking up just a bit too far and i cant the header lined up with the holes, and i dont have anyone to help pull down on the h pipe. hopefully i'll get it soon. Also, I'm mad at myself because when i was taking out the spark plugs with a rachet, one of them came loose really quick and i hit one of the little plastic vaccuum lines with my hand and broke it. Could i just put like some shrink tubing or something around the vaccuum line for a temporary fix?

Well I got the headers on but I ran into a bit of a problem. On the passenger side the header doesnt bolt up quite right with my h pipe. It's like my h pipe needs to be about an inch more forward. Anyway, I started her up and I've got a nasty exhaust leak of course. So I'm going to go to a muffler shop and have them fix exhaust leak and get it lined up right, and I'm thinking while my car is there I'm going to have them make me a 2.5" catback exhaust. They do it for pretty cheap, but I dont know what kind of mufflers to get. I like the kind of loud muscle car sound so I'm thinking maybe some glass packs but a lot of people so no to that so I dont know. Any ideas?

no your h pipe is fine you have to move the h pipe around to get it to fit it fits just right i just put my dads headers on his car and i ran into the same problem disconnect the back half of the h pipe and get the front bolted to the headers and then bolt the back back up

That would be awesome if that could fix my problem. I will try to shimmy it around after work. What do you guys thinking of having a muffler shop make a catback? Anybody had this done?

as easy as the mustang exhausts are, i would never pay someone to do it for me, i am in an area where you dont need an emission check so i am going with turn downs in front of the rearend, wide set of slicks, here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got the magnaflow xl mufflers on my car and i had a shop do it. I like them cause they are unique compared to the sound of most 5.0s. If you want a muscle car sound I would go with 2 chamber flowmasters or if you want a loud bad *** sound go with the magnaflow magnapacks. Most shops only charge 150-200 dollars for the labor on a dual exhaust system but, then you gotta factor in the tips you want and the mufflers.
