New Fox, Need Help Identifying These Plugs and Help With A Few Issues
Got a new 1992 LX 5.0 Fox and was going over it today. Found a few plugs and wires that didn't go anywhere. Just wondering what they are for and if they are needed.
Car is beautiful but has a few issues.
Trying to troubleshoot an issue where the car will not start unless throttle is floored
Coolant gauge doesnt work.
The gas gauge works but is off by a few bars.
The middle wire that leads to that group is plugged up by a screw
There is a plug that is on the left of the pic that is unplugged.
Both of these are on the passenger side by throttle body.
Closer view of that plug that was on top pic
Part that is missing on the side of the throttle body facing the firewall.
It looks like it has a shaft that is in the throttlebody
This one is a red wire on the passenger side that goes behind the engine.
Thank you in advanced for the help.
Look forward to joining the Mustang community.

well it looks like a ghetto smog pump removal to me
it's best to plug the vac lines properly... not leave fittings and then fill the fittings with screws lol
but nothing to sweat, probably all cosmetic, but hoping the sealed vac lines are truly sealed
is the "y" pipe removed on the back of the heads? it will go down to the "h" pipe and also the smog pump. not all the stuff is gone that could be. it'll make more room in the engine bay on the rt side if it's all removed correctly.
welcome and looks like a nice car.
im always a fan of old skool gt40 tubular, yours is second gen as noticed by the screw holes on the flat part and not tabs on the runners. keep that in mind if you ever decide to spend $300 on the $65 plate that no one ever bought and now are so hard to find.
not sure if you can see but notice how mine are maybe an inch diff than yours ?? only on the one side... the other 2 are the same

Yep, you need this

and this

The computer is looking for the sensor. There is no gains to be had by removing it.
You may also have a bad IAC valve causing your starting problem.
I would replace the egr valve and sensor, reset the computer, then go from there.
