Default Is it fixable?!?!

Ok, I dont know exactly what consist of a good block that will work and one that is on its last leg! So help me out, but I found this 5.0L 302 Ford engine from a 88' I believe mustang and well its pretty dang cheap $100. But I'll give u the link, just let me know if this block can even be restored or used again. Thanks.

There's no way to tell from the detailed description and high resolution imagery utilized in that eBay auction, whether that is a good block or not.

Generally, a shop uses many techniques to determine the rebuild-ability of a used block... such as measuring tools, visual inspection, magnetic particle inspection, etc.

I'd personally pass on the auction you linked, used rusty 5-liter engine blocks are a dime a dozen. No doubt a repair shop wouldn't accept it as a "core", and the seller is trying to recoup his loss by listing it on eBay. Shipping would be insane too (if applicable).

Ya I never thought about looking in a junk yard? So finding a 5.0L 302 block in good/decent condition would'nt be all that hard to find in a junk yard?

They sell out by me for about 500 for the whole motor and you can hear them run. I am in the chicagoland area and have a 302 with a e303 cam for sale in the paper for 500 and it still hasnt sold. Dime a dozen.
