dust cover?

dust cover?

is it necicarry to put the dust cover back on the engine? i dont have one and would like to go ahead and install my flexplate and trans, will it hurt anything if i dont run a dust cover, its a 92 5.0 and a c6.

i dont run one on mine.mainly because i forgot to put it on though
