can anyone tell me exactly what distributor this is. the sticker on the housing is e7ae-12a332-ba w/mod. the numbers cast into the housing are e4ae....etc, what exactly is this distributor? i pulled it out of a 5.0. does it have a steel gear? it feels smooth and i think it is but i want to be sure, i plan on using this for a 5.0 carb swap

 

if it is smooth it should be steel the cast gears r rough

 

where does the plug in that goes into the distributor go? it has 4 wires coming off of it, where does each one go?

 

 

what coil and ignition box do you recommend? i will be running this with a carb, and it was previously run on a car with one. what does pip and snout stand for? i am new to the newer style ford.

 

stock distributor for a 85GT with a stock 89-93 coil.....
