Default E brake light

My e brake light works half the time when i set my e brake? Just wondering if the switch near the handle so going bad? just need some help......

Im a sucker for dash lights etc....Its no big deal I agree. Well i did some research and found that there is a switch that goes bad behind the e brake lever. Ford part # F2ZZ15A851A there is one problem the part is obsolete. You can find dealerships that have them. Price is around $5.00.... Just wanted to add some info to this great website!

it would not be too hard to rig up a switch to take its place if they are that hard to find.

It may have just come loose. Its held on with a sheetmetal screw and after many years of pulling the ebrake it can come loose.

just a update it was the switch... Not to hard to replace...
