Default electrical problems

I just replaced the heater core in my '83 gt and now I've got all sorts of bugs. The worst though is it seems like something is draining my battery. I jump started it the night before last and today it wouldn't crank, when the key is turned it makes an arcing sound. Other problems are when I shift gears my head lights flicker, dash lights dim and radio shuts off. Radio also shuts off when I switch from low to high beams. Can anyone help me?????

The battery isn't dead, and I didn't leave anything on, also before I jumped it I cleaned both battery terminals and posts and made sure they were tight

welcome to the early mustangs it may be as simple as the key switch as those years have about everything going to it..it maybe better in the long run if your keeping the car to redo the electricail with the painless kit
