Just did a density to maf swap and now my car runs like crap. Do I have to change the firing order or anything. Planning on putting back my old computer and taking off the maf and see if that changes things. Any ideas?

 

How did you do it and also was it with new or used parts..

 

well the maf and wiring harness were from a kit that someone bought but ended up just using the computer. The computer is a used unit out of an 91 gt (A9L). I am going to change the computer back to what I had to see if it still drives the same if it changes then it would either the computer or the Maf.

 

changed the computer back to the stock speed density computer and the car ran great. I put the A9L computer back on and the car started acting up again. So i just went back to the stock computer until I can find out what to do next.

 

did you rewire the car for mass air? There are wires you have to move and splice into to convert to mass air

 

nope. got the conversion kit that ford sells. I didn't buy it new from ford. I called Ford Racing and asked them if there was anything else that needed to be done other than put in the jumper. They said that there was nothing else that would be it. I hope that they told me the truth. I'm going to call them again just to make sure that was all I need to do.
