Default Trans swap question

If I swap my factory Aod to an aftermarket AOD do I have to do anything to the PCM? Or can I just direct swap it? Meaning will it throw codes or anything? Will I run into any issues at all?

Thanks,Don't really have the $$$ for a lentech. Just really looking for anything to improve the performance of the Aod.

If your AOD is still working properly the addition of fresh fluid/filter, external heavy duty cooler, shift kit (or valve body), & a quality stall converter will make a huge improvement in the feel as well as the longevity of your AOD.

The #1 killer of the AOD is improper TV cable adjustment, so make sure you are adjusted correctly!

Fyi an advertised stall speed under 3000 is too low and you'll be dissapointed. I tried a 2200 and it felt stock.....still bogged with 3.73 and mickeys
