Default question about dogbone weight

So, I've read on here that this 8lb dogbone weight for the rear end is needed only for the stock gears for vibration purposes. Then I've read that people say it IS needed even with aftermarket gears. I want to know the correct answer. Cause I have changed the rear end and my gears a while back and got vibration. I changed to an aluminum driveshaft and it helped, but it still vibrates at higher speeds, usually above 60mph. It vibrates whether its in gear or not. Could this weight be the problem?

Try going to the junkyard and getting another one. Only 2 14mm bolts holding it on.
