loosing fuel pressure help!!

thank you but it was the fuel pressure regulator that was at fault.

FPR wont produce 40PSI then just drop to 7psi.

your explanation was clearly not correct.

dont know how else to put it i replaced the fpr and she fired up and held fuel pressure unlike before didnt tamper with the pump or nothin just put the fpr on and it worked

mickey just told me that its now holding pressure while cranking and it will run but very rough like its got a huge cam and then dies out. i told him to check his egr because it might be stuck open a little. the car has been sitting for 10 years so its very possible.
