Default MSD Ignition

I have a 1989 Mustang GT Convertible. I recently saw that I can get instant rebates on products from MSD, so I figured that now was the time to buy some. Okay I am thinking about getting the MSD Ignition 6A. I also want a new coil with that. I was thinking either the Blaster coil 3 or the TFI. I dont know the difference or which would be best for me. Also is there a special wiring harness that I should purchase? I do that the stock distributor, is that okay? If there is anything else I should buy as well, let me know. I do have pretty good Accel plug wires. Please help me, I want to purchase as soon as possible.

I was looking at that rebate thing on summit too, sounds like a good deal. The TFI is a plug and play coil where as the blaster 3 you have to splice wires and get a few other things to make it work and mount up. I've heard great things from both so I'm going to go with the TFI. I'm doing some things for my ignition next weekend, new plug wires and a new coil, it'll help smooth out the engine in higher rpms and give it a little more power.

If you are going to get the MSD box i would get a 6AL but the 6A is a good choice too. The only differnece between the two is the 6AL has a rev limiter. I would go with the TFI coil bc it is a direct bolt on coil and get the installation harness it will make things easier when installing the box to the coil. Have you replaced the cap and rotor lately

No actually I probably need a new cap and rotor. What kind should I get? Does MSD make one that will fit my stock distributor? If so, give me a part number, if you can? Thank-you... You all are making this so much easier.

My car is an automatic so I don't really need the rev limiter right?
