idle problem when cold
have a 88 gt hatch with b303 cam edelbrock intake (upper and lower) afr heads shorty headers, no cats, bbk h pipe, flowmasters with tail pipes. motor has maf sensor. 76 mm throtle body, electric fan, no a/c, k&n cone filter.
ok so my problem with my car maintaining idle upon cold start up. similar to that of a carbed car that doesnt have a choke. i have to rev and manually hold rpms up till motor warms up then it idles fine. i know its cammed up and its freezing cold outside but its fuel injected and should be able to compensate for this right? any one have any thoughts on where i should start looking so i can fix my problem and move on.

Man, it sounds like you are having kinda the same problem I am. I just posted about it, and then started reading the posts. I'm sure someone has dealt with this in the past and will chime in. This is a new problem with mine, so I don't think needing a tune is the problem.
