Default Dyno Tuning

Im getting my car on the dyno finally Thursday and im getting 3 runs and the widebrand O2 sensors on so i can check my A/F Ratio. I just wanted to make sure how to adjust the car when it runs rich and if it runs lean. I think i know but i wanted to make sure before i get it on the dyno.

Rich- Back the fuel pressure down or increase timing

Lean - Increase fuel pressure or decrease timing

Is this right or not?

you have to reprogram the computers fuel maps. adjusting the fuel pressure will help with WOT a little, but not enough to even deal with the other problems that come along with changing the pressure.

i think im fine anyways bc it runs a little rich from what i can tell an i dont have any pinging or loss of power either. I have the pressure at 40 psi and timing at 14 and it runs good. I just wanted to make sure i could fix the problem or not with the AFPR and timing. I wasnt sure

If your dyno shop is set-up to sell you a reprogrammable chip, he can then dial in the optimum tune for your set-up while on the dyno.

Without the reprogrammable chip, your options are kinda limited if you need to richen the mixture, or lean it out. With the chip, just about anything is open to change.
