83 carburator set up

83 carburator set up
i'm officailly wanting to swtch to carb, and i was wondering if the carb and intake manifold out of an 83 5.0 would work for my set up?.....this is only a temporary solution as i will be going much bigger and better in the future...but i thought this would be a good question.

If your putting the intake on another 5.0 it will work. Is the 83 carb a 2V or 4V? A 2V might be a little lean for your motor. Personally I wouldn't bother with it. Seems like a waste of time and effort when you know your going to swap in something more appropriate later. Just find a used Performer intake and Holley 600 and be done with it.

nvmd, i'm just going to save my money up...there is a local site here where they sell alot of parts i need used. and i don't know if it was 2V or 4V, i didn't ask....besides it had a bad carb, that's the main reason it wouldn't start. (there was too much wrong with this car)
