I have that exact hood and scoop on my '83...I think it looks great on my car, buti dont know about yours...Mine's almost functional, it lets air into the engine compartment but its not sealed to the carb

no way man, I saw one on a 87-93 and it looked horrible.
then again the scoop was red and the body was white, but still.
it ruins the sleekness of the 5.0, and just looks like one of those stupid ricer scoops you see on jap cars that are never functional.
cowls look so much nicer.
why dont you keep it how it is? your car looks like a sweet sleeper.
well, no mustang is a sleeper, but with a 331 it will blow by anything else.

I dunno, I kind of like the looks of the 82 scoop on the newer one.
I'm with 3stangs, put the scoop on for now, and see if you like it. Later on, if you decide you don't, then you can get the cowl hood.
