Hello all, new to forum.
I have an 1988 LX 5.0. When I bought it the previous owner pulled the AC. The compressor is still on it and I would like to remove it.
Anyone knows the proper way to do it, like do I have to relocate the power steering? Also what the part # the shorter belt would be?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

you want this kit.... its the best and avoids using an idler pulley, and moves the ps pump to the compressor location
it will make your car like it was NON ac from the factory
you'll need a 73" belt, or ko60730 if you dont have underdrive pullies....72" if you do have them

Here is that kit installed with stock pulleys. 2nd picture shows what I had to do to the idler arm locating hole.

Thank you for the pictures! I was trying to picture in my head what it would look like. The New hole on the idler arm, is that in the instructions with the kit?Originally Posted by wydopnthrtl
