I have a 91 5.0 and want some NoS just for the street and a little drag,but know nothing about it. Whats your ideas?

I am just curious, how much nitrous do you think a pretty much stock 5.0 could stand with a pretty much stock motor?

With a good tune it can take a 125 shot, but you have to understand that is with sombody who has alot time tuning nitrous and lots of experiance with it. Stay under 100 and you will be alot safer, but even a 75 shot has the potential to hurt the motor if conditions are right.

a novice can handle 100 shot if he knows the basics...like dont be in 5th gear doing 25mph and hit the nitrous...POP...blown motor

a stock block can handle a 150hp shot without any problems as long as you have plenty of fuel pressure to supply the motor for when theres an extra damand for fuel. i dont recommend a dry kit, i have only ran wet kits on efi 5.0's and never had any problems. just make sure your timing isnt advanced, also you do not want to run a platinum spark plug. (it will burn the tips off the plugs) your better off with the stock plugs. and also..dont spray under 2500 rpm! it could "puddle up" and backfire, and trust me,,, thats nasty!!!
