RE: temp. gauge goes up when I hit the brakes
Alright so, for a mechanical temp. gauge, is it a new sensor that plugs into where the sending unit is? I know that it's a new wire that will run from the sensor to through the firewall to where ever I mount that gauge but is this just a plug and play kinda thing or is there any custom fabbing that I will have to do?

Another wierd electrical problem, it's almost like my alternator is going to go out too, the charge variates as I drive. Some times it's on the first line and sometimes it runs regular (I took it for a 40 mile trip tonight). I have all intentions on installing a mechanical gauge if someone can find me a how-to article on installing a mechanical temp gauge or write one up for me that is step by step, or will the gauge come with instructions?

Have you cleaned out your IAC lately razarr? Now I'm not sure where the electric ground is, there's a few of them scattered around the engine bay, but what is the ground that mounts (in the stock location) with the battery ground, it runs off of the starter relay. Where is the electric ground? I would really like to keep the stock gauge (in the gauge cluster) if possible. From my understanding the grounds for the gauge cluster is behind the gauge cluster (which means I'll have to remove the dash), should I check those too?

the electronic ground aka ecu ground is the one on the driverside inner fender area. see if its a good contact. then i would check the ground strap on back of the drivers head. also make sure the ground is making good contact to the block
