Default burning oil!!

hey i have an 85 stang 302 5sp. its been smoking alittle bit out of the valve covers, like out of the breathers. I changed the oil but its still doing it. Motor has about 140,00mi. Should i take it in for a valve job, or replace the heads. btw would a set of 74 stang 302 heads fit my 302? thanks

If you can afford new heads go for it! The new heads will greatly out perform the stock 85 heads with a new valve job.

sounds like your compression rings are worn..I would replace the pvc valve and screen first

i think you mean oil control/oil scraper rings are bad. they would cause blowby, not the compressionn rings, if the oil control ring is working in any particular cylinder then the oil wouldnt get to the compression ring.
