Chiming door open/ignition sound
ive had my 1990 GT for a few years now and something about that chiming sound that makes it feel like more of the mustang isnt there. my stang doesnt have an alarm system or anything. i open the door and no sound but when i put the key into the ignition i can hear a very light chiming sound which i see other peoples msutangs in youtube appear to be a lot louder. so if somebody can tell me what it is and what id have to do to get it back.
- yes very stupid but its just the way id like it

Its possable that someone didnt like all the noise and taped up the box to quiet it down.
My 95 only chimes when the lights are on door open or if the door is open with the key in engine off. If the key is out it chimes only when the lights are on . But just the door open with no key it is silent. Track down the noise it should be on the drivers side under the dash close to the center . Look to see if it has been muffled in anyway. I think there was a way to open it up and block the chime off a little.
