Grounds
I'm reading this part on the internet concerning relocating the battery to the rear.
"When relocating your battery to the trunk for better weight distribution be sure to run the ground wire all the way back to the engine block. Don't just run a strap straight to the frame. "
Why is it so important to have that 4g ground wire from the neg battery to the engine block? Why not just put a 4g wire from the block to the frame? Then use another wire from the battery to the frame?

The alternator is considered absolute ground, which has hopefully got a solid connection to the engine, which is why most alternators don't use any ground lead off it's frame, but rely on being bolted properly to the engine, and a ground off it to the frame.
As I understand it, in some cases with this and other frames, even getting a solid bare-metal ground this far back will have a bit more resistance than wanted trying to use just the frame back there. Where it me, I would do both if there is a concern. Good close-by frame ground with new bolt to neg terminal, then going from that bolt to front ground point in engine bay on frame from engine's ground.. If it is a concern I would think this wouldn't be a good thing long-term for other things using the ground points back there, fuel pump, etc..

Thanks for the quick reply guys. You can never have enough grounds lol.
I had some trouble in the past few days figuring out why my battery wasnt charging.
After paying another alternator, the problem was that little coper wire in the back of the cluster for the battery light... The thing was seperated by a hair...
Ill be adding more grounds tomorrow.
Thanks again for the info.
