Im debating, get a 3.55 or a 3.73 ring and pion. See im changing my gears next week in the shop, and I need to find out what to do. I drive alot on the highway, so dose the 3.73 really mess up your MPG? dose anyone have a mustang with 3.73s were I can ask a few questions. thanks
3.73's are great gears for stick cars. I have 3.55's cause I have a 347 on the way and the low end torque of the 347 will be better than the 302. Plus I also plan to s/c in the future and don't want to over gear street tires.
dont say ANYTHING!!! ive still got stock 3.08s even after i replaced the WHOLE friggin diff. my dad said it wasnt worth it. well, last time i listen to dad!![:@]
3.90s, I think that they are AWESOME for auto's and for people that don't want to go all the way up to 4.10 but wish they had something larger than a 3.73.
