ahh, now I understand your point of view, I too owned a 66, the one in my sig, I ran 3.50's as well with a t-10, and I agree It screamed, because 4th was a 1 to 1 ratio, I eventually converted it to a t-5 from a late model mustang, and solved the whole issue, you should look into a 5 spd conversion, it cured many issues, no more shifter slop/ linkage slop and 5th was great on the highway!!

I run 4.10s in my 07 and absolutely love them...No issues on the highway. However...when i had my 4sp 67 Chevelle with 4.11s it certainly did tach out on the highway...I spent all my time in the slow lane.

i dont mean to hi-jack the tread but i saw what u guys said on ur rpm's with 4.10's. i was told with my 86 5.0 with a t-5 that i have 3.73's but on the highway in 5th going 70 mph i am turning 2500. so do i possibly have 4.10's then???

2400 RPM at 65 on a car with a factory redline of 5800 is not necessarily reving but at 80 you're at what...3000? Bleh.

I've driven Mustang 5 speeds with 4.10 gears, 1st is very short (too short) for a DD IMO.
